Welcome to caeq.ca, including its functions or applications. This site is operated by the Accreditation Committee For Quality Evaluation (CAEQ), a unit of the Conseil des appellations réservées et des termes valorisants (CARTV). The CARTV is a non-profit legal entity created by the Government of Quebec to oversee the application of the Act respecting reserved designations and added-value terms. Its mission is to promote and ensure the authenticity of Quebec biofood products whose distinctive character is legally recognized, for the benefit of the community. The CAEQ is a technical unit of CARTV that offers its accreditation services. As a partner, client or other visitor to the Website, you will find on caeq.ca a lot of information on the accreditation services offered by the CAEQ, the evaluation (audits) and verification process, the accredited organizations, etc.
If you upload images to the website, we advise you to avoid uploading images that contain EXIF data containing GPS coordinates. Visitors to this website can download and extract location data from these images.
If you leave a comment on our site, you will be offered the opportunity to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This is only for your convenience so that you do not have to enter this information if you leave another comment later. These cookies expire after one year. If you go to the login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal information and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser. Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were on that other site. We authorize these service providers to use your Personal Information only to the extent necessary to perform services on our behalf or to meet legal requirements. We take reasonable steps to ensure that any third party service provider provides a safe and appropriate environment and security measures similar to those required by applicable Laws so that your Personal Information is protected at all times.
Your Personal Information will also be shared with third parties in the following instances:
– With Google in the manner described above;
– In the event of a change of control at CARTV;
– To protect and defend our rights in the event of litigation;
– To comply with obligations under applicable Laws, including in connection with legal proceedings; to respond to a subpoena, warrant, court order, or other legal process; to respond to an investigation or request by law enforcement authorities or a government agency; or to respond to a request by a government agency. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
Personal Information is retained only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes of this Policy and for as long as required by any applicable law, including tax regulations. If you leave a comment, for example, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This allows subsequent comments to be automatically recognized and approved instead of being left in the moderation queue. For users who register on our site (if possible), we also keep the personal data indicated in their profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username). Site managers can also view and edit this information.
If you have an account or have left comments on this site, you can request a file containing all the personal data we have about you, including the data you have provided to us. You may also request the deletion of your personal data. This does not include data retained for administrative, legal or security purposes.
